Integrated Online Ordering for Micros 3700 or Simphony
History behind Online Ordering
Within the last few years, the world has made a dramatic shift towards digitization because of recent events like the Covid-19 pandemic.
This trend, while necessary at the time, has continued to grow as users are discovering the advantages of having a simplified, streamlined
online system. Especially within the food and beverage industry, this has allowed for businesses to focus their energy elsewhere and close
many of the prior gaps in their operations. Micros POS is a system that has allowed countless businesses to achieve this increased freedom.
Within this cutting-edge system, Micros offers integration for online orders known as Micros Online Ordering. To fully understand the value of
this dynamic system, let’s explore some of the key aspects of Micros POS online ordering:
How does Micros online ordering work? The Micros POS online ordering feature allows customers to place orders online and have them delivered or picked up at the restaurant. This feature streamlines the ordering process and allows businesses to efficiently manage orders, inventory, and customer data. The online ordering process with Micros POS is as simple and easy to use as it gets. Customers can browse your menu, select their favorite items, and place their order online in a quick manner. The order is then sent to the restaurant’s POS system, to a kitchen printer or monitor, where it is processed and prepared. Once the order is ready, the customer is notified and can pick up their order or have it delivered. Whenever the need to alter a menu pops up, management can easily make the edit and witness the change take place across all devices. Running out of an item or adding a seasonal item has never been easier. Order tracking, on the other hand, allows businesses to keep a close eye on their orders, which can be especially helpful when working with Doordash Drive and Uber Eats. Losing an order can be detrimental to your company’s bottom line, but with Micros online ordering, you can keep track of where all your orders are in between production and pick up. Finally, payment processing simply allows customers to pay for their orders online, cutting down time at the storefront and decreasing contact if necessary.
What are the benefits of integrating online ordering with Micros?Integrating online ordering with Micros POS offers several benefits for businesses. Firstly, it simplifies the ordering process and reduces the workload on employees. This allows employees to focus on other important tasks, like prepping orders and interacting with in-person customers. Micros online ordering can increase sales by making it easier for customers to place orders, with their payment and ordering happening in the same location. On top of this, the integration with Micros POS allows businesses to track and manage orders, inventory, and customer data all in one place. The online ordering micros integration allows for businesses to reduce the chance of errors they might experience with multiple systems. Additionally, it provides the opportunity to increase understanding of the system with all employees and team members as they familiarize themselves with our easy-to-use integration. Finally, both the kitchen and management will receive notification of an order, decreasing the risk of communication errors or loss of information. Businesses will find themselves better equipped to expedite their products, with both sides of the house in the know when it comes to each order.
