Integrated Online Ordering for Micros 3700 or Simphony
History behind Online Ordering
Within the last few years, the world has made a dramatic shift towards digitization because of recent events like the Covid-19 pandemic.
This trend, while necessary at the time, has continued to grow as users are discovering the advantages of having a simplified, streamlined
online system. Especially within the food and beverage industry, this has allowed for businesses to focus their energy elsewhere and close
many of the prior gaps in their operations. Micros POS is a system that has allowed countless businesses to achieve this increased freedom.
Within this cutting-edge system, Micros offers integration for online orders known as Micros Online Ordering. To fully understand the value of
this dynamic system, let’s explore some of the key aspects of Micros POS online ordering:
How does Micros online ordering work?
The Micros POS online ordering feature allows customers to place orders online and have them delivered or picked up at the restaurant. This feature streamlines the ordering process and allows businesses to efficiently manage orders, inventory, and customer data. The online ordering process with Micros POS is as simple and easy to use as it gets. Customers can browse your menu, select their favorite items, and place their order online in a quick manner. The order is then sent to the restaurant’s POS system, to a kitchen printer or monitor, where it is processed and prepared. Once the order is ready, the customer is notified and can pick up their order or have it delivered. Whenever the need to alter a menu pops up, management can easily make the edit and witness the change take place across all devices. Running out of an item or adding a seasonal item has never been easier. Order tracking, on the other hand, allows businesses to keep a close eye on their orders, which can be especially helpful when working with Doordash Drive and Uber Eats. Losing an order can be detrimental to your company’s bottom line, but with Micros online ordering, you can keep track of where all your orders are in between production and pick up. Finally, payment processing simply allows customers to pay for their orders online, cutting down time at the storefront and decreasing contact if necessary.Click to test a demo online ordering page.

• Integration with Uber Eats and DoorDash Drive
Since in-house online orders are placed directly through the restaurant websites; merchants don’t have to pay any fees to the third-party companies such as GrubHub and Uber Eats. However, our online ordering platform provides access to Uber Eats and DoorDash Drive directly from the POS system. Restaurants can enable this feature if preferred and not use additional tablets.
GrubHub and DoorDash Marketplace aren’t available now.
Uber Eats and DoorDash Drive are the only two platforms available for integration.
